Jordan started racing go-karts at the late age of 12 in his hometown of Perth, Western Australia and within a relatively short time showed his talent in the sport by running amongst the top racers in the state. His speed and maturity at racing surprised many in Australia when he won the 2004 South Australian State Championship Junior National Light final in only his second year of racing and his first Eastern States meet, only to be disqualified due to a manufacturer’s technical infringement.
Undeterred, he qualified 3rd fastest in the 2005 Australian National Karting titles, which was his first National titles kart meet, only to be plagued by mechanical failure and eventual retirement in the finals. He went onto win and podium in numerous races in Western Australia and the Eastern States in both Junior National and Clubman classes.
His racing commitments were reduced in 2007 to concentrate on final year school exams but he still managed to win the 2007 Western Cup Series Clubman Light class in Western Australian in his first year as a senior racer.
He moved to racing Formula Fords in 2008 and 2009 and although not racing all races in the respective series' finished 8th and 5th in the West Australian and Victorian Formula Ford Series'.
He was a 2009 CAMS rising star scholarship nominee and was unfortunate to have a freak accident in the driving evaluation session which resulted in a broken neck in August 2008. He has however fought his way back to a full recovery and fitness notwithstanding he has titanium pins and screws holding his neck together.
In 2010 he won a scholarship from BMW Motorsport to race in the 2010 Formula BMW Pacific series and finished 3rd in the both the overall and rookie championships. He was the top finishing BMW scholarship holder and had 2 wins, 3 seconds and a third including 2 pole postions for the season.
